This is a polymer clay sculpture of David and Goliath in battle. I wanted to portray them in a way that I hadn't seen before and to include creatures in the design. My main influence was the works of Bernini, especially the circular flow of his David, and the composition and energy of his Ecstacy of Saint Theresa. The piece is coated in white gesso and uses thin bent wires for the whiskers. The base is a piece of stained scrap wood that I shaped on a routing table. Spring 2019
